Although I am a lover of anything leather, it is however overexposed and over-worn (speaking from personal experience here). Reintroducing suede, the authentic, and intriguing, bohemian luxury fabric that is the highly fashionable material of the moment.
While leather trousers have become an edgy-glamorous trend and worn with anything, the 70s influence of suede is slowing replacing the subversive leather trend. Suede is so prevalent this season, that it is hard to ignore it. The spring catwalks saw models wear suede jackets and button through dresses as well as suede trench coats and wrap skirts. Suede is simply the best fashion forward trend you can go for and you can be creative. The autumn shows show suede fabric on patch pockets, collars and belts and with a range of exciting colours. From caramel, chocolate, turquoise, violet and orange, colour combinations work here that wouldn’t always look good if worn with leather.
What is another major trend on the catwalks? Fringe.
