Welcome to Bali

My Bali adventure, where do I begin? My friends and family have asked me the typical question after a holiday, ‘how was it?’ With a constant grin on my face and the expression ‘it was amazing’ isn’t enough to explain the Balinese experience to someone who hasn’t been before. It is something that can’t be explained. It’s a journey of culture and spiritual enjoyment that one can only understand through experience.

Myself, along with two of my university friends were lucky enough to encounter some of the most beautiful locations the island has to offer, beginning with the area Nusa Dua, where we were staying.

We arrived in the evening and exhausted from our 21 hour journey from London, we ordered room service and went to bed. This was after we took videos of our suite and facetimed home with excitement that we had finally arrived. We booked through Cyplon travel agency who were very good at finding us an excellent deal of flights, hotel and transfer. We stayed at the ConradBali, in Nusa Dua, which is a member of the Hilton Hotels around the world. From what we could tell in the night sky the hotel looked and sounded lovely. Sitting on one of our three balconies (one of which included a plunge pool!!) we could hear the waves but only see the pool lights, which made us more excited to go to sleep and wake up to beautiful Bali that awaited us to begin our adventures.

We split our days from taking trips around the island to visiting some the most outstanding temples, markets and waterfalls and lounging around our hotel’s multiple pools and beaches in different locations. What we have discovered is that Bali offers something for everyone. For the surfers among you, Bali offers the perfect beaches to catch those waves – particularly popular with the Australian tourists who travel only three hours to Bali. A unique shopping experience is also on offer for you shoppers – we managed to get a few souvenirs for our loved ones and if you’re a foodie, there are fantastic restaurants.

Nothing beats a good girly holiday. This trip might have been the best idea we had all year! I couldn’t have asked for better companions on this trip, we got along perfectly, creating many memories that we will never forget. Thank you girls for an unforgettable trip!

I will be posting more of our adventures in the next couple of days. Let me know what you think!
